    Coding a DOM

    Hi,

Is it possible to code a DOM for ninjatrader ? I've got huge problems with the ui/ux of the superDOM and want to make my own.
If so, is it possible to have some code from the superDOM to start the project ?

    best regards

    Hello lvl99Pikachu,

    Welcome to the NinjaTrader forums!

There are vendors that have created custom Addon windows for Depth of Market.
I would like to request a feature. I feel that the NT8 DOM should have the same features as the Jigsaw DOM. (Image Attached) The Jigsaw DOM is so much easier to trade from, but we shouldn't have to pay for a new platform to get the benefits. Two of my friends had the same issue and they ended up choosing Jigsaw over NT8 just

Unfortunately, I do not have any specific examples I can link you as resources.

I can link an example of an Addon window.

And the help guide on subscribing to market depth.

If you are new to C# and NinjaScript, see the forum post below.

I don't need addons for new columns.

        Hello lvl99Pikachu,

Are you trying to make your own DOM window?
If so, you will need an addon window.

Or are you trying to create a SuperDOM Column script?

Below is a link to a SuperDOM Column script you can use as an example.

lvl99Pikachu Take a look at this excellent code from gemify : https://forum.ninjatrader.com/forum/...uperdom-column

It's still a column-based addition, but don't let that put you off at least reviewing what it offers. It may also help you in your original intent.

          Thanks.

Thanks a lot for your answer.
That's a code I checked (and the only code I found) for the DOM but I don't see how I can write a new one or modify the existing one (I'll keep looking though).

I'm using ninjatrader for a month and thought maybe it could replace my current software but the dom is unusable as is.

Hello ! I have a general question. I can't understand what prevents the developers of the platform from bringing it back to normal? Package Orderflow + excuse me, but it's terrible! I don't even want to compare with other platforms on the market. We pay a lot of money for a license, and we would like to get a platform more suitable for orderflow scalping!

I trade from a laptop. Screen space is limited.
Is it possible to make the side borders on the SuperDom narrower?
I've attached and image of the wide border.

                    Hello DavidHP,

I'm not clear on where this blank space originates from on the SuperDOM.

You may need to do some testing with modifying the WPF such as the grid columns, or margin and padding on the price ladder.

Does this mean the SuperDom looks different on different PC's?
All the examples I see on youtube, Ninjatrader, etc all have these wide borders.
I"ve tried it on Windows 10 and 11 and it looks the same.
It seems like it is way to big for the dialog box it is contained within.

                        Hello DavidHP,

The area to left and right of the price ladder is where the order tags appear when there are working orders.

To confirm you are developing a custom script and attempting to remove this area where the order tags appear in the WPF, is this correct?

No, I do not want to remove the space just reduce the size. It seems to be more space than is needed for the tags.
On a laptop, the space is valuable and I've squeezed it as tight as I can but still has extra space on the sides.
Maybe if it dynamically resized with the font size?

                            Hello DavidHP,

This is likely a column in the gid in the window.

You will need to do some experimenting with the WPF in the window to find the UIElement and modify it.

Unfortunately l do not have any examples I can point you toward that do anything similar.

MSInspect will be very helpful in this. Below is a link to a forum post that discusses using MSInspect.
