    CurrentBar of different data series

    Hello,

I have a strategy that adds 2 dataseries, as fast and a slow. I'd like to be able to call "GetCurrentBar" for the slow one. I see the Bars[] object, but it doesn't seem to expose the bar number.

Is there an API I can use?

    Thanks!

    Use the plural form CurrentBars.

Use CurrentBars[0] for the primary data series.

Use CurrentBars[1] for the first secondary data series added with AddDataSeries.

If you call AddDataSeries a second or third time, then
keep adding +1 to the index value, like this,

CurrentBars[0] <-- primary data series from chart
CurrentBars[1] <-- first call to AddDataSeries
CurrentBars[2] <-- second call to AddDataSeries
CurrentBars[3] <-- third call to AddDataSeries
    ...
CurrentBars[n] <-- nth call to AddDataSeries

Btw, the index value 'n' is called the BarsInProgress index.

      Hello -kman-,

      Thank you for your post.

As bltdavid has advised, you may use the CurrentBars array to access the number of current bars for the specified bars object. The following page covers Multi-Time Frame & Instruments concepts, including a mention of checking the CurrentBars array for the number of bars in each bars object:
