    Which Concepts Are Unsupported

When reading the documentation at https://ninjatrader.com/support/helpGuides/nt8/ how does one know which of the programming concepts described are unsupported?

It has been covered elsewhere that NTDirect.dll has now been deprecated and in any event was unsupported. Is there more in the help guide that is unsupported?

Hello, thanks for writing in. All functions from the NTDirect.dll (C++) are discontinued. Only the .NET managed NinjaTrader.Client.dll are supported going forward. Our supervisor who updates the help guide is out of the office for 1 week, he will be updating the help guide shortly so it will be updated in the near future to reflect the changes. Nothing else in the platform has been discontinued.

Great. Thank you for clarifying this.

My only remaining question is when you say "Only the .NET managed NinjaTrader.Client.dll are supported" do you mean it's actually supported, or to clarify, do you mean it's documented but unsupported? Sorry to belabor this point. I'm only asking because it seemed like from the other thread that the .NET managed one was unsupported also, but you've just described it as supported so I'm trying to make sure I'm understanding.

Hi, the NinjaTrader.Client.dll is only supported to the degree that we guarantee that the functions within will work. Any external applications that are created using this dll are not supported as it goes outside of the scope of support we can provide.
