    Market Watch Calculations

    Hi there,
I am interested in how the values for Market Watch are calculated so that I can code it in AmiBroker for strategy development and back testing. Can you please explain how the various values are calculated? It looks like the grey number is the current price (3999.5), but I am yet to figure out how the green values are calculated. Thank you for your time!

    Nathan.

    Hello Nate G,

    Thank you for your post.

The Market Watch display is described on the following help guide page:

You are correct that the grey number is the last traded price. The green value is the net change and is shown in both points and percent. There is also a "Net Change Display" indicator that calculates the same value and may be displayed on a chart. You may view the source code to see how it is calculated by going to Control Center > New > NinjaScript Editor. Open the Indicators folder in the explorer on the right, then double-click on "NetChangeDisplay" to view the script.

The NetChangeDisplay value may also be accessed programmatically from other scripts as shown in the snippet here:

Please let us know if we may be of further assistance.
