Uninstall detection

Hello,

Is there a method triggered when you tried to uninstall indicator/strategy/addon ?

I would like to popup a custom message at the unistall.

There is not any type of event that you could pick up. Your item is not going to be run during a removal to trigger anything.

Do you have any idea of tools like GAT can't handle the unistall process ?

I am not aware of what GAT is, can you provide more details on what that is or what reason you need for triggering an event after removal?

External programs won't be able to uninstall the item because of how the assembly is loaded in memory. The platform has a mechanism in place using the Remove NinjaScript assembly menu to be able to remove imported items.

Actually i'm improving my Risk Manager, and i would like to add a password to the unistall. This password can be handled by a friend and could avoid uninstallation from tilted traders.

Hello johnok,

That would not be a supported use case. If a user wants to uninstall an item it would be up to them to manage their data and not you. Preventing platform features from being used is not something which our scripting team can help with or support. The user should always be in control of their platform and its features. Any imported item needs to allow the platform features to be used rather than blocking their use.
