Providing arguments to AddDataSeries() Programmatically or via Inputs

Is there a way to overcome the limitation highlighted below (i.e., providing arguments to AddDataSeries() programmatically or via inputs)?

At this time there is no suggestion that we could provide to automate using AddDataSeries, it needs to be hard coded to work accurately.
