Community Mean Renko bar type?

Hello,

I've noticed NT8 does not provide Mean Renko bar type. I've had a hard time finding alternatives. Some costing from $49 with minimal support (and has bugs) to over $2,000 (yikes, I'm not trying that out).

I would like to offer a community alternative. I'd like to learn how to create a new bartype and specifically a Mean Renko bartype.

The end result would be open source / public domain, a better option would be for NT8 to adopt it.

So with that in mind, are there tutorials to create bartypes?

You could certainly make your own bars type, to do that you can create one using the NinjaScript editor. I am not aware of any tutorials on creating a bars type but you can view the code for the original renko to get started. There are also other versions of the renko on the public user app share.

Where is the "public user app share"?

I've looked at the Renko source code and it doesn't have comments making it difficult to follow.

For example:

1. What starts the bar?
2. What closes (and opens a new bar)?
3. What is within the bar
