Time zone

Hello,

I've just noticed the chart display is in the intrument's exchange timezone, while code runs on the machine's local time zone.

It makes a mind bender trying to convert back and forth ...

LOL is this intentional?

Thanks for your post.

The Chart window times will reflect the TimeZone that you have NinjaTrader set to in the Tools > Options > General tab. The instrument bars on the chart will reflect the TimeZone setting you have set. If you are in Mountain Time Zone and run the ES 12-22 instrument on the chart, the bars on the chart will reflect your TimeZone setting. For example, if the instrument's Trading Hours template stops at 4:00PM Central Time, you would see the instrument stop at 3:00PM on the chart since it is set to the Mountain Time Zone, 1 hour behind Central Time Zone.

You could reference the current time on the chart in NinjaScript using Time[0].

If you want to get the current time on your machine, you would use DateTime.Now.
