What do these Parenthesis represent?

Hello,

When I choose which strategy I want to optimize in the strategy analyzer, a number in between a pair of parenthesis appear next to my set of variables I want to test. Also when I try to delete this variable, it just reappears again when I click out of the text box.

What purpose does this variable serve as I do not see it displayed in Ninjatrader's guide on optimizations?

Thanks for your post.

The value in parentheses is seen after an optimization run is done in the Strategy Analyzer window.

These values represent the optimal results based on the properties set for your optimization.

For example, in the top row of the screenshot, you have set 1;3;1. After the optimization, the most optimal parameter found is (3) for that variable.

If you were to change the optimization values of that variable and run an optimization, you would likely see a different value.

An example would be if you were to set the top variable to 1;10;1, you could end up with a higher optimal value seen in parentheses.
