Serialization and timezones for NinjaTrader.Gui.Tools.TimeEditorKey property

Hello,

Take for instance the following property:

[Display(ResourceType = typeof(Custom.Resource), Name = "Start time")]
[Gui.PropertyEditor("NinjaTrader.Gui.Tools.TimeEdit orKey")]
public DateTime StartTime { get; set; }

I'm trying to nail down NT's behavior regarding the serialization of these NinjaTrader.Gui.Tools.TimeEditorKey properties when using the corresponding indicator/strategy template on two different PCs that are in two different timezones. In practical terms, how can a vendor ensure that a strategy template with DateTime NinjaTrader.Gui.Tools.TimeEditorKey properties will point to the same time of day for all clients, regardless of timezone?

It seems like NT tries to auto convert serialized values to the local timezone where the template is being used, but I haven't seen enough consistency in the behavior to understand how it works, and how I can deliver these DataTime values via strategy template reliably.

HI Josh, thanks for posting.

You can control what the time gets saved as by using a SessionIterator object to find the exchange time and set it in State.Terminated.
