Cancel chart trader button click

Hi,

Is there a way to Cancel a chart trader button click?

I can add an additional event to the button click to check my own rules for entering a trade and that works fine, but how to cancel the original click of the button if the rules are not met without affecting normal operation? I know you can cancel click events of buttons, but in this case, I'm not sure the original event can/should be overridden? I'd like to use the original buttons, rather than adding more buttons, if possible.

Thanks for your post.

As we would not own the original event method for submitting orders in Chart Trader and cannot unsubscribe that method from the click event, I would suggest removing the button from the grid and replacing it with your own button that uses your own click event.

Let me know if you are having trouble setting something like that up.
