    Log off dll

    Hello to the forum,
I use a dll to control a trading strategy.
In this dll I use arrays and lists (no event handlers).
When I exit the strategy, I want to reduce the memory consumption of the dll.
What are the possibilities to do this?
Thanks a lot for the support!

    Hi user10, thanks for posting.

Each generic collection object has a Clear() method that you can call to clear out your arrays. Otherwise, if the strategy gets disabled and then the garbage collector will remove any unused memory addresses automatically.

    Kind regards,

      Hello Chris L,

thank you very much for your comment.
Is there a way in State.Terminated to "deregister" the whole dll without resetting each array inside the dll with Clear()?

      Kind regards

        Hi, thanks for your reply.

The DLLs are loaded on start up of the platform, so if the arrays/collections are filled up when the classes within are initialized, it will stay in memory. There is no supported way of off loading a dll while the platform is running.

        Kind regards,
        -ChrisL
