Is there a way to setup a development environment with Microsoft VS Code? for developing indicators?

Thanks for your post.

This isn't technically supported but it would be possible for you to do. I can see the NinjaScript folders/files for Strategies, Indicators, AddOns, etc, and can open and modify the scripts with VS Code when I open the custom assembly project file.

We would mostly suggest that if using an external IDE, that you leave the NinjaScript Editor open and simply save changes as opposed to recompiling from the external IDE. This is so the NinjaScript Editor applies the necessary NinjaScript Generated Code additions that allow the indicators to be used from the external script.

Yeah, I got that far, I'm was wonderring if anyone was able to set up debbugging with VS Code.

Thanks for your note.

While we do not support debugging using Visual Studio Code, you could use Visual Studio to debug instead.
