PlaySound not working

I have a simple condition if ( A ) { PlaySound( sound_location ) I have output that confirms my condition is being met however the sound never plays. I have confirmed the location of the .wav file to be the install dir of NT8\sounds.

Is the .wav file you're attempting to play using PlaySound() in PCM format? NinjaTrader requires this format for sounds.

Are any errors related to the sound file seen in the Log tab of the Control Center?

Thank you for your note.

That's a bit outside the scope of our support, but you can try searching "find PCM format of wav" online to find options for looking at what codec was used for your .wav files - this should be something similar to "PCM Audio".

For clarity, sound files used by PlaySound() would not be played on historical data, you would only hear them on real-time data or Playback with market replay data.

If you are not hearing the sounds on real time data and have confirmed the file is using PCM, please check your "Log" tab of the control center for any error messages related to the strategy.
