Q for trading stocks on NT, seeking answer from a user, not tech team

    Hi all,

Looking for if there is a limit to a target price for a stock.

TD Ameritrade claims they don't allow a target price to be set if it is higher than $100 over the highest trade price in the last 24 hours. Thinking that NT can get around this by not submitting the order to TD unless the stock price touches the target on a NT chart. Looking for someone who has actually traded stocks through TD Ameritrade on Ninjatradrr who has either set a higher target price than TDs $100 policy limit or has used a market if touched order to effectively circumvent this.

    Thank you

Not just with TDA but many brokers reject orders that do not pass their "definition of reasonably close enough."

Yes. You can use NT8 to monitor and then submit orders when both YOUR conditions and TDA's limitations are both met.
