Saving Indicator Parameters from code.

Hi there I know there's a "Save default" at the bottom of the indicator window for storing the default indicator values. But I was wondering if there was a way to save a default template or any template from within code.

I've written an improved version of My addon is very UI based, and I change parameters related to indicators by code all the time when using it. I'd like these to be saved as the default parameters when changed; rather than having to come into the indicator window and do the save.

Is this possible.

There's no supported way of using the built-in templating system for indicators through code. You would need to create your own .XML file and load up the default settings from that XML file. See this publicly available link on reading and writing XML files:
