Attaching a drawing tool object to an indicator

Hello

How do I attach a drawing tool object to a specific indicator ( not manually that I know ) from the drawing tool code.
I have created a drawing tool but when I apply it on the chart I want it to automatically attach to an indicator that I have created.
If the indicator is not present it just draws nothing.

Hello blar58,

The indicator in which you want to attach the object should be the script which also draws the object, it would pass its "this" in to specify where its drawing from. You could in theory pass an indicator instance as the this parameter in the draw syntax instead of "this" however I am not aware if that has any issues in doing so. You could certainly give that a try in your use case to make sure it works as expected.
