Query # of loaded instruments

Is there a way to query the # of loaded instruments or # of instruments in use for the entire application?

Thank you for your post.

There wouldn't be a supported way to get the full number of loaded instruments in every window, no. The issue is that some windows, such as the Market Analyzer, cannot be directly accessed via NinjaScript.

While there may be an unsupported way to achieve this, I am unaware of one.

The following code snippet seems to works when connected to a data provider. It is still possible the instrument may be loaded and in use, but this at least verifies its not getting market data.

int numberOfInstrumentsWithMarketData = 0;

foreach(var instrument in Instrument.All)
{
    if(instrument.MarketData != null && instrument.MarketData.Last != null)
    {
        Print(instrument.FullName);
        numberOfInstrumentsWithMarketData++;
    }
}
Print("There are " + numberOfInstrumentsWithMarketData + " instruments with market data.");
