Connect Rstudio and NinjaTrader 8

I would like to use R language in NinjaTrader. Is there an API or anything to connect Rstudio with NinjaTrader 8?

Thank you for the post.

There is nothing specific that NinjaTrader providers for RStudio, NinjaScript is strictly C#. If you are trying to interface with R in some way that would really depend on what you needed to do from the other language in contrast to NinjaTrader.

So is it possible for example to access the price data from R and make an average for example?

Hello lju45,

There are not any supported ways to do that, you can refer to the link at the bottom of this post for an unsupported C# example. Generally if you need to export price data for another application you would need to do that using the historical data export tool. That would export a text version of the data which your other software could read and parse. You can also use any C# means to communicate out to R if there is any kind of support for that with R. I am not aware of R's capabilities or if it can be connected to C# in any way, that would be something you can research online. NinjaScript is C# .net framework 4.5 so most items which work with that framework could be used such as C# dll references or code.
