Programmatically Select A Tab By ActualName
Is it possible to programmatically select a tab by ActualName or otherwise? If so, how?Tags: None

Hello TheMetalDog,
Thank you for the post.
You could likely use a loop here to loop over the tabs to collect the names and find the name you want, once you do you could return that tabs index and then use the normal section by index. Here is a simple method which should do that:
Code:int index = -1; foreach (System.Windows.Controls.TabItem tab in chartWindow.MainTabControl.Items) { if (tab.Name == name) index = tab.TabIndex; } if (index >= 0) { chartWindow.MainTabControl.SelectedIndex = index; }

Okay, that got me close enough to what I was looking for to be able to get there. Here's what I was after and is working:
Thanks again!Code:chart = Window.GetWindow(ChartControl) as Chart; foreach (System.Windows.Controls.TabItem tab in chart.MainTabControl.Items) { if (tab.Header.ToString() == Instrument.FullName) { tab.Focus(); break; } }

TheMetalDog, thanks so much for this. It was exactly what I'm looking for.
I'm using it to quickly switch the Tab focus right before an alert does a screen snapshot.
Without it, only the active Tab gets captured, even if the indicator is triggered from a background tab.
