Reset InstrumentSelector?

When initially ready for use, an InstrumentSelector shows Select as the value of the selected item, and then one can select from the available instruments.

Having selected an instrument, how does one reset the InstrumentSelector to once again display Select and essentially have no selected instrument, exactly as when first used?

SOLVED (apparently): I eventually discovered that setting the StringValue property to an empty string resets it.

If this is not the "correct" way, please advise. Thanks.

Thank you for the post.

If setting the property that you have to an empty string resets it to the first state I would say that is likely going to be the solution. You may also try setting the selected instrument to null but what you have is likely fine. I don't see any issue with what you are doing based on the description, if that does not work in some way it will only affect your selector so there is not really any concern of that being a problem. If you see an issue surrounding that can you provide a small sample of what property you set so I can test that on my end?
