    referencing Indicator methods within a class... compilation error in VS

    I am developing an add-on that utilises methods contained within the Indicator type.

    The class signature is:
    public void exampleClss(NinjaScript.Indicators.Indicator PassedIndicator)
    {
    }
    This compiles just fine within NT8, but in VS (with references to NinjaTrader.Core and NinjaTrader.Gui) reports:
    'The type or namespace name 'Indicators' does not exist in the namespace 'NinjaTrader.NinjaScript' (are you missing an assembly reference?)

    What am I missing here?

    Hello ellington,

    Thank you for the post.

    Are you specifically trying to compile in visual studio?

    Visual studio can only be used as a text editor in contrast to NinajTrader, if you Saved the file and NinjaTrader compiled that would indicate the code is valid. Visual studio won't have all the correct references/files that NinjaTrader application uses to compile your code.

    I look forward to being of further assistance.
