Change DisplayName of Input in TypeConverter

Is there any way to change the name of an input property from within a TypeConverter. For example, if some input changed, a different input would change name from "Foo" to "Bar". This would be helpful for creating multi-mode indicators without having to add lots of extra inputs.

The property has the DisplayName exposed as read only, so not sure how to set it. Can the attributes be changed?

Could an example of this be added to the SampleIndicatorTypeConverter example?

Hi aslane, thanks for your note.

Im not aware of an existing example of this. Could you demonstrate the type converter you are using and how you are trying to change the DisplayName?

      Hi aslane,

The Displayname attribute is meant to be set at compile-time so there is not really an easy way to change the DisplayName. We found this example of changing Displayname in WinForms but nothing from WPF:

I am wondering how to change the DisplayNameAttribute on runtime, I want the displayName to be Feet instead of Meters in my property grid when I do some conversions, is that possible? [DisplayName("

Likely reflection would need to be used to change the display name properly.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
