News or PR in code

I am wondering if there is a way to add the option for a NEWS or PR into the code. Something like, check to see if there is a PR for a particular instrument. Just wondering, you never know. If we don't have it, we might want to add that feature. It would be pretty cool.

There is a news window that will populate with news items if your data provider supplies news to NinjaTrader:

We got half way there, yes it is related to stock news. I wanted to know if there was a way to code into a script if a stock has news or not.

You know how stocks like to move when they have a new PR out?? like that Tell the strategy only trade the stock if there a pr released with a certain amount of time.

In NinjaScript there are a few options, you could look into using the new subscription from the addon framework: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...hlightsub=news
This subscription would be avaliable depending on the data provider.

You can also look into doing something similar to the new indicators listed on the public user app share: https://ninjatraderecosystem.com/use...sa_search=news
The jtEconNews2a (if working) provides a good example of accessing a web service to gather data. This type of logic could be used if you know of a new source which exposes data and wanted to access that data.
