Extending BarTypes

Is it possible to extend a bar type - for example to make Range Bars that can set the box size based on ATR ?

OR

Is it possible to using a stragegy or some kind of ninjascript to modify a value of a bar type (like the box size Value) ?

Thanks for your post.

Since that property would need to be set in State.SetDefaults it would not be possible to set the value with a Series.

It may be possible with custom rendering but it would be more complicated than simply setting the BarWidth property. The indicator I linked below provides a good example of how to render bars to the chart through an indicator:

Your vectors will need to represent the open/close and high/low of the bar with the line's width adjusted respectively.
