NinjaTrader.Cbi.Log.Process Usage

Can you please explain the parameters and usage of NinjaTrader.Cbi.Log.Process(). This should really be in the doc other than a minor reference in the debug section. It is not clear how to properly use this function in a similar manner to the generic Log(). Thanks.

I'm looking into this with others in the office and will write back with more information as it becomes available.

EDIT: The help guide should be updated with the next documentation push when R14 gets released.

You may use the following as an example:

NinjaTrader.Cbi.Log.Process(typeof(Resource), "CbiLogGeneric", new object[] { "My log message" }, Cbi.LogLevel.Error, Cbi.LogCategories.Default);

Type should always be typeof(Resource) for custom messages.

The first string should be the name of the resource you want to log. Log.Process() will try to look up resources for international translations, so CbiLogGeneric should be used for custom messages.

The next parameter is for resource arguments. For CbiLogGeneric, the argument is the custom message.

LogLevel could be Alert, Information, Warning, or Error

LogCategories could be Ati, Connection, Default, Execution, NinjaScript, Order, Position, Strategy, Account, LicenseManagement, DB, System, or User.
