How to access information about the current connection. How to know if the connection is Simulated Data Feed or Playback?

Thank you for the question.

For the playback connection specifically, you can also use:

if(Connection.PlaybackConnection != null)
    Print(Connection.PlaybackConnection.Status == ConnectionStatus.Connected);
