Launching and controlling indicator with chart title bar button

    Hello,

I'd like to add a button to the chart title bar to control my indicator's functionality. I'd like to do the following: click the button to give it control of the mouse, drag the mouse over a region of the chart, and use that to select the region to apply the indicator functionality over, e.g. volume profile over a region, VWAP over a region, etc. Can you please point me to sample code that demonstrates how to do this? Searching the forum I've found the ClickDrawExample_NT8B11.zip sample for the mouse functionality (thanks for that), but I don't know where to start for the chart title bar functionality. Is this considered Add-On development?

    Thanks.

    Hello silverm3170,

    Thank you for the post.

Yes, in this case, this would be addon development. Pretty much anything dealing with the UI could fall into that category.

For an example of adding a button to the toolbar, please see the following post:

I look forward to being of further assistance.
