Is it possible to adapt a NT8 AddOn and Indictor to NT7

    Hi Folks,

I recently configured an AddOn and Indicator in NT8 (both elements are in the zip file). The whole thing is running pretty well, and I wanted to adapt these elements in NT7. Is it possible to do it? It would be useful to know it before investing time and effort in the endeavour.

    Thanks a lot,

    Hello luiscristhian97,

Addon support is new for NinjaTrader 8 and was not documented or supported for NinjaTrader 7.

You can add code to custom namespaces and classes and reference these if you wanted, but there is no addon class in NT7 and no supported ways of adding to the File > New menu the way that NinjaTrader 8 does.

The script you have provided, however, appears to be a custom class for SharpDX that was made by Jim here at NinjaTrader and also includes an indicator. NinjaTrader 7 does not use SharpDX. This uses GDI+ for rendering.
