Time Stamps for Draw.Line

Dear Support,

I use the following code for drawing a line based on "begin" and "end" times..

Draw.Line(this, "UpR", false, startDateTime, Top[0], DateTime.Now, Top[0], Brushes.Black, DashStyleHelper.Solid, 4);

It works fine and draws the line. But I am not sure the "DateTime.Now" used for endDateTime is correct for drawing at the current bar.

What is a proper replacement for the above code so that it plots at the current bar and stops plotting at the end of the current session?

Thank you for the post.

You should avoid using DateTime.Now when using NinjaTrader except for specific purposes. This object represents your PC clock time and really has no relevance to any bar time in the platform. This is a C# property.

Instead you should reference the specific series time, you can use the Time objects to do that:

Draw.Line(this, "UpR", false, startDateTime, Top[0], [B]Time[0][/B], Top[0], Brushes.Black, DashStyleHelper.Solid, 4);

Time[0] would represent the CurrentBars time. https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...eries_time.htm

If you have a start time and the end time should be the CurrentBar, Time[0] could be used as the end time.
