Trade Visualisation missing in live trading.

I have created a strategy that functioning fine. it has several entries and exits to enable scale out. I am running it from a chart so I can monitor.

when I am using it in back testing and in the simulator account, I can see the trading visualisation on the charts just fine, however when I am connected to IB (to the sim account, but I don't think that real time trading would change it) I can see only entries on the visualisation without the exits and the liniking lines.

the strategy continue to work fine, send the exit it is just the visualisation that I am missing.

any idea to what can cause it and if there is any way to fix it?

Double click on the chart to bring up the Properties window, make sure that "Plot executions" is set to "TextAndMarker".

I checked and it is set to TextAndMarker, as I told you it works fine in simulation account. the problem of showing only entry happens when I am connected to my IB account. the exit and the lines are just not showing.

Can you post an image? Are there any errors in your log tab when running the live account?

please see the image, the stop was places and executed 8 cents above the entry. (you can see on the equity curve).

the only warning that I get on the log files is "outside regular trading hours"... that being ignored. (orange colour).

all the rest working perfectly. it happens also when my target are hit, strategy working but no visual indication on the chart for the exit.

This is on the IB paper trading account? If yes, we have seen odd behaviour in the past from this account (regular IB account is fine) where the API behavioiur is not the same as the regular account. Just a guess that this somehow could be related based on the error message you receive.

I tend to test the integration on sim before committing real money, I will probably try the real account next week, so will keep you posted.

exactly the same behaviour with live trading account... just ignoring the exit visualisations... orders are sent and executed but no visualisation.

any ideas?

However, on the same chart, if you select the Sim101 account, the behaviour is different?

yes it working fine on the sim account of NT with the same connection.

Can you post an image of the live account chart, can be the IB paper trade account.

the image is identical to the one I posted on post #4.
I was trading today the real account, believe me I know. :-)

after you terminate the strategy you can see the real trades including the exit (with no line connections), if I would reapply the strategy it would look fine (including the lines ans exits on historical trades). however the real-time trades are missing the exit and connection lines.

A few more questions

- If you run our SampleMACrossOver strategy do you experience the same behaviour?
- Are you using ONLY documented methods for submitting exit orders? Can you post the code you use for exiting? I don't need the triggering conditions.

didn't had a chance to review your suggestions, but I got some progress in the debug of the problem....

I am using limit orders for targets and stop market for stop. using the advance form livetillcancelled.
all method are documented and supported.

the same code, works all right with the ES 09-08.
however running it with ZS 11-08 not showing the exits. (problem happened on two separate computers, both on paper account and real account).

would this info shade some light on the problem?
