How to add a secondary bar timeframe to a strategy

Good morning!

My strategy works with a 1 minute timeframe SMA.
I'm now trying to add a second SMA working on a daily bar. Basically I need to add the following condition to the strategy:

--- If 1-minute-SMA(100periods) > 1-day-SMA(9periods) then do something ---

How does it comes in a code sample?

Thanks for your post.

You can add the daily bars data series via the Add() method: http://ninjatrader.com/support/helpG...e.htm?add3.htm For example Add(PeriodType.Day, 1);

When you add a dataseries you can references by its BarsArray[]. The base/chart data series is BarsArray[0] the first added dataseries would be BarsArray[1], the next added data series would be BarsArray[2], etc, etc.

In your OnBarUpdate() you would reference as:

if (SMA(100)[0] > SMA(BarsArray[1], 9)[0])
{
// do something
}
