CS0103 Error when using Strategy Wizard

Hi,

I am using the Strategy Wizard to create a strategy and am receiving two CS0103 errors when I click 'Finish'.

"The name 'Target' does not exist in the current context"
"The name 'StopTicks' does not exist in the current context"

Shouldn't these have automatically been declared by the Wizard?

If not, can you detail what steps I need to take?

What is 'Target' and 'StopTicks' ? Input parameters?

That's the odd thing.

I do not have anything called 'Target' or 'StopTicks' as a User Defined Input nor do I have any User Variables.

The inputs that I am using are ShortSig, ShortSt and ShortTarg.

Perplexing...

Please advise.

You are doing this exclusively in the wizard or, did you start in the wizard and move to the Editor? Also, what NT version are you on?

Likely these errors are coming from a different file. When the error shows up, you will see it refers to a file. Is this file the same as the strategy you are working on or something else? If something else, then this is the problem file. If you don't need it, just delete it via Tools > Edit NinjaScript.... Select the file and press the "Delete" button.

The errors are from the same Strategy file.

I tried to delete it figuring that I would simply start over, but am getting a window that says:'"...can not be deleted. This file is likely referenced by other NinjaScript files and these dependencies need to be removed first."

I only have 5 strategies in this instance and 3 of them have been there for over a month.

I created 1 today and had this error and created another one to see if I would get the same error.

I cannot delete either of them. If I try to delete one of my earlier files, which were working fine, I also get the 'dependencies need to be removed first.'

Something seems corrupted.

It seems that I can neither go forward nor backwards.

Please advise.

Go to the folder My Documents\NinjaTrader 6.5\bin\Custom\strategy and move all your custom files to another temp folder.

Then start NT, go to Tools > Edit NinjaScript > Indicator > select any indicator and press F5 to compile? Does it successfully compile?

If yes, go ahead and create a strategy from scratch.

Followed the instructions and am receiving multiple CS0103 errors when trying to compile the indicator, 'ADX'.

What can you suggest that I do next?
