Trade Management Script

I would like to code a script to manage trades. The position could be opened by other script, may be a market order or a stop or limit order, and my script must detect that a new order is open, get the number of lots opened, get the id of the position and then manipulate the sl, tp and close the order according to management logic in that account.

Is there anyone that did that? Could you help me with some example?

Thank you for your post.

NinjaScript strategies are designed for automated position and order management specific to their position and not the orders or positions of the account.

I am not aware of any unsupported examples of doing what you have asked.

Thank you for the question.

There are greater controls in NT8 for addons which may be a better suited type for this type of logic. Strategies specifically are still intended for being an automated trader that sits in place of yourself, Addons give greater capability to make your own custom tools that behave how you want. This could likely be possible by not using a strategy and making use of the addon framework. because we are in the NT7 forums, I will post the following example as a starting point. For further questions related to NT8 I would suggest to create another thread in the NT8 forums.
