I think this may have been asked in a previous thread, just could find it.

How can I incorporate a simulated trade into a live strategy?

What I would ultimately like to do is if simulated trade has 3 losses in a row then the next trade taken is a live one.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

To do this you will need to run internal calculations and logic to run your simulated trades. Unfortunately you cannot mix simulated entry trades with live trades. You are either all simulation or all live for a particular strategy. The exception are stop loss orders that can be simulated and become live market orders when hit.

ok, so Im not able to run a paper trade within a live account.
If I want to do something like this I have to calculate it all internally??

I noticed that StrategyRunner has a ( live / paper) trade button on their display.

One click to go to live from simulation. No need to restart the software.

Could something like that be done here?
