error messages : lost order (price) connection

Hello,

I am using NinjaTrader7 to execute some strategies and i had two error messages :

- .../lost order connection but will keep running.
- .../lost price connection but will keep running.

what does that mean?

Thank you for your post and welcome to the NinjaTrader Support Forum!

The first part, "lost order" or "lost price", would mean that connection to the price or order feed was lost. This could be seen during an intermittent connection lost from your Internet Service Provider, or when using a wireless connection (Wi Fi or cellular network for example). Sometimes these can be seen when the data provider takes down a server for maintenance.

The second part that details "but will keep running" refers to the strategy itself and how it handles this disconnect. There are options to control this behavior under Tools > Options > Strategies > NinjaScript > On Connection Loss Handling.
