Longtime fan of NinjaTrader here. I recently got back on the platform after taking a break for a few years and i'm having trouble with the simplest thing possible(!!!).
I made a quick strategy to test and it didn't produce anything on the Summary page, the Start Date and End Date are the exact same (4/13/06-4/13/06)(???), even though I stipulated the Time frame to be 5/1/15 - 3/2/16.
I changed the strategy to SampleMACrossOver to see if that would work and it didn't either. See the screenshot for what it looks like.
I've downloaded the daily data for SPY since 03/03/2006 so my data source shouldn't be a problem either. I've also tested this on APPL and no luck.
Exit on close = True (for these backtests).
Any thoughts on where i'm going wrong? I'm feeling like a n00b
