I am using the script below on a 30 minute chart. My question is: on Bar closing when the position is short, the strategy closes the position (condition TRUE) but as the market position is not flat it does not enter the Long position (when this condition is also TRUE).How can I be sure that the strategy will recognize my position is flat when it needs to be closed before?

You could utilize OnExecution(). OnExecution() is called when an order is filled: https://ninjatrader.com/support/help...nexecution.htm

With OnExecution(), you can check if you're in a flat position and then execute your long position.

Example:

protected override void OnExecution(IExecution execution)
{
     if (Position.MarketPosition == MarketPosition.Flat && ....)
          // logic
}
