Stop Breakeven

I have no Code experience, but trying.
Doesn't work properly. Orders immediately rejected.


I have a Set Stop Loss at 10 ticks.

Long Entry - named (LE)
If position = long (& moves +8 ticks), move STOP Loss to Breakeven

Short Entry - named (SE)
If Position = Short (& moves -8 ticks), move STOP Loss to Breakeven.

Thanks for your post.

You are using a dynamically adjusted setstoploss to get to the breakeven and it does not appear that you are resetting the stoploss when you are flat. The SetStopLoss() will use the last value you gave it so if you enter a new position the SetStoploss is using the previous value which may be in conflict.

This is a confusing subject as you are using SetStopLoss in initialize (correctly) and this works on the very first order until you change the value of the Setstoploss.

Please add the following as the first line after OnBarUpdate()

			if (Position.MarketPosition == MarketPosition.Flat)
			{
				SetStopLoss("", CalculationMode.Ticks, 10, false);  // reset when flat
			}
