Two timeframes

Hi,

I imported a txt of historical data in the form of 5 minutes bars and it went ok.

Then in my Strategy I code:
Add(PeriodType.Minute, 30);

Is that ok?

Or do I need the primary bars to be one minute?

You only can import 1 minute series.

i am not sure I follow here. So far, I have always imported txt files with few years of historical data in the form of 30min bar. And it has worked ok.

However, as I progress in my programming in Ninja, I wanted to use two timeframes, (5min and 30min), so I imported a txt with 5min bars. The importation goes ok, the chart and so on, but the strategy does not.

However, let me ask you something here.

If my chart has 5min bars... below the price panel, can I plot a EMA of 30min bars? Or that is incompatible??

This is not supported. You need to import 1 minute data and NT will build 5 minute and 30 min series internally.

I imported 1min bars to NT. Now, is it possible to plot an SMA of 5min bars over a 1min chart???
