    Strategy Tab -- Connection Fail?

    Hello,

    Sometimes a strategy fails to stay enabled when I try to start it in the Control Center / Strategy Tab.

    It in the Strategy Tab but my debug Prints show that OnStartUp is never executed.

    It appears to run for a moment, then stops. The Log and Trace files don't show any errors.

    Then later in the day it will work like it should.

    Today all the CME (currencies, CL, TF) strategies would do this, but the FDAX and FGBL ran normally and did not terminate.

    This is with a CQG feed. It seems to me that the failing strategies are failing while trying to connect, but I don't know.

    I'm running the latest version of NT 7.

    Please advise.

    Thanks for your post.

    In the output window, when you enable your strategy from the strategy tab, do you see,
    "**NT** Enabling NinjaScript strategy...."

    and then do you see,
    "**NT** Disabling NinjaScript strategy...."

    When you say, "It appears to run for a moment, then stops" , does the strategy show that it is disabled on the strategy Tab (the enable check box has become unchecked)?

      YES, WHEN I ENABLE THE STRATEGY IT APPEARS TO START, THAT IS THE BOX IS CHECKED. THEN SHORTLY THE BOX BECOMES UNCHECKED, BUT THE LOG OR THE OUTPUT WINDOWS DOES NOT SHOW A DISABLE.

        In order to further assist I would need to see your strategy. Please post here or send to Platformsupport[at]NinjaTrader[dot]com to Atten Paul and the link to this thread. I will also need to understand who is your data provider and what account is selected.
