I have a concern regarding strategy trading running 24/7 and possible system outages. For example, say a strategy is running and has taken a position when the system crashes. Of course, at that point, the data feed and connection has been lost, all variable values have been lost, etc. Then I get the system back up again but a position is open that the strategy no longer knows anything about. Are there any general recommendations to handle these types of situations?

Are you using stoploss and targets? ATM? Who is your provider?

You would want to look into the On Connection Loss options under Tools > Options > Strategies > NinjaScript. You can find information on these options at the following link: http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/h...tegies_tab.htm

There is no recommended set of options for this scenario, it is user preference but you would need to understand the options first. Please let me know if you have any questions.

Why do you think that the strategy cannot calculate the position using the charts bar data?
