Keyword to allow hedging ?

I'm working on a strategy with running buy orders and running sellshort orders at the same time. The issue is : my sellshort order closes sometimes the previous buying orders and a buying order closes sellshort.

Does any keyword exist to say to Ninja "don't do this" ?

Thank you for your note.

This would not be possible.

As such, the Managed approach does not allow for two separate orders of the opposite direction to be working at the same time and using the Unmanaged approach will use FIFO rules for the orders.

I'm using an unmanaged approach. Well, it's a very bad news, there isn't any way to change this FIFO rule I guess ?

Please note that you are replying to a 5-year-old post in NinjaTrader7 Strategy development forums and as such, you may not get any responses from the original poster.

Two separate strategies on the same account and the same instrument is possible but not recommended as you can only have one account position of long/short or flat and the strategies would be out of sync with the account position and would continue to place live orders according to their logic.
