Strategy error in Log -- what is it?

For those following this thread, Dierk said that he found a bug in the core NT code, which will be corrected soon.

One question though, Dierk: You said the error happened with the CancelOrder event. Did the error prevent the CancelOrder code from executing an OnOrderUpdate call? Because if that's the case and that will be corrected in the next release, then my strategy should work again after the release. If not, then I have another problem with something not calling OnOrderUpdate properly.

CancelOrder does not work properly. Please be patient until next release comes out.

Hey... I just discovered something. What's this order state mean:

Order='e...f/Sim101' Name='TestShort' New State=PendingChange Instrument='YM 06-08' Action=SellShort Limit price=0 Stop price=12908 Quantity=4 Type=Stop Filled=0 Fill price=0 Error=NoError Native error=''

It seems like when I already have an accepted order, and then place another order with the same IOrder name, it comes up with this order state and then automatically cancels the old older and places the new one. So I don't need to cancel the old order manually at all! What a revelation. I guess I don't need to wait for the fix to CancelOrder after all.

I suggest you use TraceOrders = true to see if anything else is happening behind the scenes that may detract from what you are expecting. Just in case there are wider implications.

OK, I'll put that in the strategy... in the Initialize tag? Then where does the trace go -- to the Output window?
