OrderName has a limit in AtmStrategyChangeStopTarget?

Hello Dear Friends,

I'm trying to execute the method AtmStrategyChangeStopTarget, but just got this error today:

1/28/2015 3:00:01 PM Strategy AtmStrategyChangeStopTarget() method error: OrderName 'Ajuste das 16hrs 0 a 500pts' is invalid

It says it is invalid, I just wanted to understand why is it invalid? It is there a limit in OrderName argument? Only have alphanumerical chars, couldn't understand what was the problem?

Hello rgaleote,

When using AtmStrategy methods, you will not be able to name the stop loss and profit targets. NinjaTrader will do this automatically for you.

There will be up to 3 stop losses which will have the names Stop1, Stop2, and Stop3.
There will be up to 3 profit targets which will have the names Target1, Target2, and Target3.

Any other name is invalid.

If I'm not able to name it, why does it receive OrderName as the argument then?

Should I leave it in blank then? Or should I just pass it as "Stop1" so it knows it has to change the already existing working stop order prices

Hello,

So that you can distinguish between Stop1, Stop2, Stop3, Target1, Target2, and Target3.

In other words to select the target or stop you want to change.

Pass it Stop1 if you want to change Stop1.
