    Unmanaged One-Updates-Other

The unmanaged SubmitOrder(0 method has an "oco" string field, which is documented as "one-cancels-other".

Experimenting with the sim101 environment, I noticed that this is actually "one-updates-other", namely, it reduces order size on a partial-fill of the tied order.

This may sound silly, but can you acknowledge that this is indeed the case, and "OCO" is actually "OUO"?

    Thanks,
    Belcanto

    Belcanto,

    Thank you for your post.

This is part of the One cancels other function, as the OCO will cancel other working orders opposite.

Say you have a position of 10 and working stop and profit. Profit gets part filled for 4, this fill will cause the OCO to kick in for the stop to cancel 4 contracts. You could say it updates it but it is indeed cancelling 4 contracts.

Let me know if I can be of further assistance.
