Internal Order Rules

Hi All,

I have a strategy which is using managed order types, I would like it to be able to place both enter long limit and enter short limit orders at the same time, 1 in each direction. Is this possible without using unmanaged orders?

Hi Arun, this would be unfortunately not possible in managed mode, as you would not allowed for such operation per the internal order handling rules. Those are further detailed in the bottom section of this link in our online helpguide - https://www.ninjatrader.com/support/...d_approach.htm

Thank Bertrand, I think I may split the strategy into a long and short version, this would allow me to use the managed order classes and still achieve orders in opposite directions?

I do think the managed orders is a very useful wrapper and I think I would prefer that than writing code for order handling myself.

You're welcome, correct if you split it up you would have two separate instances of the logic operating, they would not cross communicate.
