Reload Historical Data

Hi all,

I'm frequently encountering an issue where my chart data is materially different after I've shutdown and restarted NinjaTrader than it was in Realtime. This is affecting the outcome of my signals. Signals that we're once valid just disappear. I know why this is occurring according to NinjaTrader's help guide but still the question remains as to how do I resolve this issue.

I'm thinking that I will need to frequently reload all historical data on a chart in which my strategy is applied. So my question is how do I reload all historical data on a chart programatically from a NinjaTrader strategy?

maltese, which broker or dataprovider are you using here? Do you generate those signals intrabar using CalculateOnBarClose = false?

A reload data function would not be native to our supported NinjaScript, but users have found success using a SendKeys Wait command via C# - http://www.ninjatrader.com/support/f...ad.php?t=37808

I'm using IQFeed as my data provider (Well actually it's Kinetick but I log in directly through IQFeed because of a whole 'nother problem of frequent disconnects using Kinetick).


Can sendkeys be used with a strategy to reload a chart?
