Adding parameters to my existing custom strategy

I want to add some parameters to my existing custom strategy. Please advice how to do this. Just adding in the section:

        [Description("")]
        [GridCategory("Parameters")]
        public int SessionLookback
        {
            get { return sessionLookback; }
            set { sessionLookback = Math.Max(1, value); }
        }

doesn't seem to work.
