Strategy from chart different

Hi,

I have a multitime strategy that has different trades when run it on a chart as compared to the instrument. The expected (backtest) trades occur when I run it directly on the instrument.

Can someone point me to what could be causing this difference?

Thank you for your post.

There a multiple reasons why you would see a difference; Fill Price, CalculateOnBarClose and getting filled on an order.

Hi Cal,

Thanks for the quick reply.

My problem is not the difference between backtest and live trading. I have different trades for the same strategy once run from the strategies tab with right click and once started from a chart. I just meant that the way I want it to be is when I run it from the strategies tab, and not from chart.

Any help is appreciated.

Marco,

You would want to ensure that you are using the same timeframe and look back period for the Strategies Tab as you would with the Chart. As well, ensure you have the same strategy settings that you use between the chart and tab.
